ADIDAS & BRAND IDENTITY

The Adidas Company is a German manufacturer of athletic sportswear and shoes and lifestyle fashioned clothing. It was founded and named after Mr. Adolf “Adi” Dassler in August 1949 (Lewis, 2018).

WHAT IS BRAND IDENTITY?
Brand Identity is the allocation of all the brand elements a company where a company has to portray its right and positive image of itself to the consumer (deBara, 2018). Brand Identity is what makes the company immediately recognizable to their target customers. Essentially the audience will affiliate the company’s brand identity with their product and services (deBara, 2018). The same brand identity is what makes contact between the company and the consumer. This help build customer loyalty and shows how consumers will identify a company’s brand (deBara, 2018).

Adidas’ brand identity includes logos with the 3 stripes, captivating websites, colors and packaging just to name a few. It complements and bolsters the current reputation of a brand. A company’s positive brand identity brings in new customers and keeps existing ones secure and loyal. Adidas knows that it is fundamental that their brand identity is consistent in a competitive marketplace. Adidas’ brand identity is very appropriate and the brand continues to show its support in sports. Although they a more known as a sporting brand, Adidas is also involved in the fashion and lifestyle arena. I love the brand and am a frequent buyer of the brand. Now I have the sudden urge to purchase a pair of their sneakers LOL!!! I wear my Adidas everywhere, school, church, grocery, dates, limes I wish I can to work though!
